- Anita L. Brydon, 93, of Hackettstown, N.J., died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Heath Village, Hackettstown. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at St. Mary's Church of the Assumption, 305 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J., with Father David Pekola officiating. Burial will follow at St. Theresa Cemetery Mausoleum, Summit, N.J. Viewing hours will be Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Feb. 27, an hour prior to church services at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown.
She was born on Jan. 13, 1920, in Summit. Anita was a graduate of the All Souls Nursing School of Morristown, N.J., class of 1942. She worked as a registered nurse for The Prudential Insurance Company, Newark, N.J., for many years before retiring. She was a member of St. Mary's of the Assumption R.C. Church, Hackettstown, and she loved her N.Y. Mets. She was the daughter of the late John F. and the late Genevieve (Kenny) Loderick. Anita was also predeceased by three brothers, John, Clifford, Stuart Loderick, and her former husband, the late Robert W. Brydon. She is survived by two sons, Robert W. Brydon Jr. and wife, Kathleen, and Dennis Brydon; five daughters, Kathleen Ryan and husband, Robert, Judith Esposito and husband, James, Elizabeth Pizzuti and husband, Charles, Mary Anita Sutton, Denise Lovenberg and husband, David; and 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , Memorial & Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105-1942 in memory of Anita.
