      John C. Brydon, for many years one of the biggest coal operators in the country, died yesterday in the Passavant hospital of heart disease. Mr. Brydon had been identified with the coal industry for more than forty years. He at one time owned a number of mines in Pennsylvania, and in 1923 and 1924 was president of the Bituminous Coal association. He lived at the Seneca hotel. Recently he had had interests in Southern Illinois coal fields. Surviving are his widow, Nelle, a daughter, Mrs. Charles Coffin Jr., and a son, John C. Jr. Services and burial will be in Somerset, Pa., tomorrow.
