- Bernard Quinn, 80, Derby Point Road, Pipers Cove, Died Wednesday, October 12 at home. Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Cedric and Mary (Bryden) Quinn. He was a member of St. Barra Church, Christmas Island and Branch 124, Royal Canadian Legion, Iona. During World War II he served with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Prior to his retirement he was employed with Canadian National Railways. He is survived by his wife the former Isabel MacNeil; two daughters Mary, Halifax, Diane (Mrs. James Ward), Corunna, Ont., three sons James, Grand Narrows, Michael Daniel, Rockford, Michigan, Brian, Sydney; five stepsisters Florence, Delores, Colleen, Marion, Mary Eli zabeth; four stepsons [stepbrothers] Howard, Leo, Adrian, Raymond and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by two stepsisters Gertie and Thelma. The body will be in T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel Thursday evening. It will be in St. Barra Church Friday after 3 p.m. The funeral mass will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. A.A. Ross officiating. Interment will be made in the parish cemetery.
