- Lester "Les" Livingstone
Age 90, of Berwick, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 19, 2018. Born on April 18, 1928 in High Bank, P.E.I., he was a son of the late Daniel and Rachel (Mac Leod) Livingstone. He had been employed in the family fishing business and as a construction foreman. He later worked in management with MacFarlands Events, Tools and Equipment Rental in Halifax for 40 years. Les was passionate about music and singing, he loved people, conversation and telling stories of his life experiences. He was kind and always helpful. Les was a member of the Somerset Mixed Choir, the Dalemac Singers Men's Choir, the Rodney Crowell Men's Choir, Men With A Song Men's Choir and various other male quartets. He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte (Brydon) Livingstone; daughter, Leah Livingstone, Berwick; mother-in-law, Joyce (Kinsman) Brydon, Berwick; sister-in-law, Betty (Bell) Livingstone, Winslow, P.E.I.; Charlotte's sister, brothers and their spouses; special nieces, Kathy (Mike), Christina and Olivia and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his first wife, Elda (MacKay) Livingstone; brothers, Elmer, Clarence, Malcolm and John. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or reception, by request. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 25th in White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating. A private family interment will take place in Pleasant Valley Cemetery following the service. Donations in memory of Les may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
