    • Sr. Mary Dorothea (Catherine) McIntyre, 105, died at Parkstone Enhanced Care, Halifax, August 23, 2004. Born in Reserve Mines, Cape Breton, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Elizabeth (Bryden) McIntyre. She entered the Sisters of Charity in Halifax in 1918 and made her religious profession in 1921. Sr. Dorothea taught school for 50 years in Nova Scotia in the communities of Lourdes, Amherst, Reserve, North Sydney, New Aberdeen, New Waterford, Prospect and Passchendaele. After retiring from teaching, Sister did parish ministry until she returned to the Motherhouse in 1994 due to ill health. She is survived by sisters, Cecilia White, Carmella Morrison and Rita Steele, a nephew Fred, as well as several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, John, Peter, William, Angus, James, Leo, Bernard and sister, Mary Hunkeler. The body will be in Mount Saint Vincent Motherhouse. Visitation Wednesday August 25, 2004 from 3-8 pm Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10 am in Mount Saint Vincent Motherhouse Chapel. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville, NS.
