    • QUINTO L. FERRI February 15, 1921 - June 22, 2014 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear father and grandfather Quinto Ferri, on June 22, 2014. Quinto was born the fifth of eight children to Nazzareno and Clelia Ferri in Espanola, ON, on February 15, 1921. The family moved to Huttonville, ON, in 1933 and bought a small apple farm. Quinto and his three brothers grew high quality apples and strawberries in Huttonville for the next 75 years. Quinto is predeceased by his dear wife Alice; his beloved sister Mary; and his brothers Mario, Aldo and Nick. He will be dearly missed by his sisters Ada, Rosa and Lucy. Quint will be sadly missed by his children Susan (Jack), Joseph (Christine), Jane (Andy), Jeanette (Nigel) and Tom (Karen). His grandchildren include Quinto (Anna), Benjamin (Kathy), Jonathan (Mandy), Erin (Daniel), Amalie (Stefan), Colin, Nicholas (Emily), Maxwell, Lucas, Emerson, Kristen, Eliot and Matthew. Great-grandad Apple will also be missed by Samarah, Jordan, Jarrett, Joseph, Audrey, Mason, Caleb and Allison. Quint was well known as a progressive apple grower throughout Ontario but he was also a student of philosophy, religion, history and music. He had a profound love of Canada and was a champion of many humanitarian causes his entire life. Rest in peace dear Quinto. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, north of Maple Avenue, Georgetown, 905-877-3631, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery, Norval. In memory, contributions to Alzheimer Society of Peel, Doctors Without Borders or The Stephen Lewis Fund.
