BRYDEN (Hull) (Lusty), Esther May
? Passed away peacefully on July 24, 2009, in Oakville, Ont. Born in Glace Bay, Esther was the youngest child of Grover and May (Morrison) Hull, and cherished sister of Lloyd (Charlotte) Hull of Sydney; Shirley (Bill) MacPherson of Osgoode, Ont., and the late Alvin (Velma) Hull. In her 86 years, Esther's path took her from Cape Breton to Ottawa, Halifax, London, Halifax again, and finally Oakville. She was a gifted singer, teacher, nurse, and naval lieutenant.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Douglas Lusty (of London, Ont.). After several years of widowhood, she was blessed to meet and marry her second love, Lloyd Bryden, whom she lost to cancer last summer. Esther and Lloyd shared a loving family, including Erna Baer Millar (Peter), of London; Lyanne (Keith) Matcham of Oakville; Philip (Cindy McKinley) Bryden ofFredericton; Lynn (Paul) MacDonald of Halifax, and Mark (Laurie Lee Rogers) Bryden of Dartmouth. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Janna, Luke and Amelia Baer, Chloe, Daniel and Annie Matcham, David and Colin Bryden, Stephen MacDonald, Kyle and Jennifer Bryden, and Sara Lynn Rogers.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Friday, July 31, in Padfield Funeral Home, 212 Furnival Rd., Rodney, Ont. Donations to the charity of your choice or to Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital are appreciated.
The depth of her love, her wisdom, humour, faith and courage were ours to share, and will stay with us always.
