      Reg was born on January 14, 1935, in Spryfield. He was a loving husband to Alice Bryden and an amazing father to Shelley Shaw (Michael), Jacqueline Lahey (Geoffrey), Lynwood Bryden (Shelly), and Irene Bryden. He cherished his grandchildren,Jeff, BJ, Justin, Timothy, Molly, Erin and Santina. He is survived by his brothers, Kenneth (Pat), George (Mabel), Allen (Kay), Robert and Findlay (Marguerite). He was predeceased by his daughter, Valerie Lynn; parents, George and Gladys Bryden; a sister-in-law, Shirley, and an infant sister, Gladys Irene. Reg began his lifelong journey as a carpenter at age 12, working in his father's sho p. He worked for Esso Home Comfort and began his own company, Spryfield Oil Burner in 1961. He was a past member of the Volunteer Fire Department. He was passionate about his work and put his heart and soul into every job. He was an outdoorsman by heart. He especially enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He touched the hearts of many. Hewas loved dearly and will be sadly missed. Thanks to the staff of the VG Hospital and a special thank you to the Palliative care Unit. Resting in J. Albert W alker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Rd., Spryfield (477-5604), where visitationwill be held today from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, December 26 at 2 p.m. in Emmanuel Anglican Church, Spryfield, with Rev. Dianna B rett-Frye officiating. Interment will be in Emmanuel Church Cemetery. Donations can be made to Emmanuel Church, the VG Palliative care Unit or the canadian cancer Society.
