- Robert George Bryden, Jr., 100, peacefully passed away on October 27, 2015 at the home of his granddaughters in Pasco, WA.
Robert was born to Robert G. Bryden, Sr. and Amanda Allene Clawson on March 1, 1915 in Brawley, CA. After graduating Robert George Bryden, Jr. from Brawley High School, Bob worked in his father's garage, drove a truck and worked as a mechanic. Using his mechanical skills he gravitated into the aircraft industry. Before and during WWII he was employed by Consolidated Air in San Diego. CA. As he progressed in his field he went on to work at General Dynamics in Fort Worth, Texas. While working at General Dynamics, Bob met and married Jeanne Kuykendall. Together they shared their passion for hunting, fishing and taking many road trips in their airstream. Bob's other hobbies were working on trucks. He was famous for buying a new truck, removing the engine and replacing it with a Diesel engine. He also loved to drive fast and shared several stories of being able to elude the police. Bob was a proud member of the NRA, War production supervisor and an auxiliary police officer. After the passing of Jeanne, Bob went to live with Candee and her husband, Fred, where they have a home on the Columbia River in Pasco, WA. Bob was able to enjoy his days watching the fisherman and the Canadian geese as they flew in their classic "v" formation.
He is survived by his loving sister, Jane and husband, Howard; one nephew, Tom and wife, Laura; one granddaughter, Candee Foss and husband, Fred; two great granddaughters, Megan and Kristin and his special friends Rob and Burt Sutton and Marilyn Rowe.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Jeanne Kuykendall; one brother, Bill; one sister, Hope and his son, Butch.
