After settling in California in 1891, Robert Armstrong Brydon made several trips back to Manitoba. One visit, with this picture taken in front of his brother James' family farm house which was rebuilt after the fire in Dec 1894. This photo was probably taken in 1908.

Ida never married, and Ella (Darling), Frank and Agnes ( MacKay) had not yet married when the picture was taken. Their mother, Christina Margaret Brydon, nee Fraser, was not well at that time and died in 1909.

  • Notes
    • Stalwart Brydons' Frank II Brydon.

"My Dad celebrated his birthday as 13 October on Thanksgiving Day and Friday the 13th, when appropriate, until he was 65 years old. On applying for old pension, he was amused to find that his birth certificate showed him as Frances, not Francis, and the date as 13 November 1885 not 13 October. The name was ruled as a typo."
