      Allen Bell Brydon (1880-1940)
      Veterinarian.
Born at Portage la Prairie, Manitoba on 13 April 1880, the oldest of 13 children of James and Christina Brydon, he was educated at the Ontario Veterinary College at Toronto. In 1916, he served during World War One in France and Salonika, contracting malaria in the latter place, which hastened his death at an early age. He returned to Portage after the war and practiced as a veterinarian. On 27 October 1923, he married Anne Watts Sinclair. They had no children. He died at Portage la Prairie on 27 March 1940 and was buried in Hillside Cemetery.
