- Mary Alice Bryden
The memorial service for Mary Alice Bryden will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hearthstone, 2901 E. Barnett Road, Medford. The Rev. John Braund of Phoenix First Presbyterian Church and Pastor Lloyd Gerritsen of Hearthstone will officiate. Inurnment will be in Logtown Cemetery.
Mrs. Bryden, 85, of Applegate, died Wednesday (Sept. 30, 1998) at Hearthstone.

She was born Mary Alice Lack on July 13, 1913, in St. Claire, Mo.
On Nov. 10, 1933, in San Jose, Calif., she married Harry T. Bryden, who died in 1994. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1958 from Richmond, Calif., where they raised their daughters.
They were active in Shepherd Care at Applegate Community Church, where Mrs. Bryden belonged to Women's Outreach and visited shut-ins for many years.
She enjoyed baking and gardening.
Survivors include three daughters, Carol Offenbacher-Raimer and Penney Gilinsky, both of Applegate, and Joyce Von Tickner, Yreka, Calif.; a brother, Henry Lack, Augusta, Ga.; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
