    • William J. Bryden
      William J. Bryden, 69, for many years a resident of Scranton, but more recently of Jubilee, Pa., died at his home there yesterday after a brief Illness. Mr. Bryden was born in Moosic, but later came to this city to live. For a number of years he was chief engineer at the Hampton boiler plant of the Lackawanna railroad, and later at the D. L. transfer on South Washington avenue. He moved to Jubilee about six months ago. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Eva Bryden; two daughters, Mrs. Howard Beck and Mrs. Chester Carroll, both of this city; a son, Walter, Jubilee, Pa.; two brothers, Frank, of Jermyn, and Harry, St. Petersburg, Fla.; and one sister, Mrs. Emma Kime, Newark, N. J. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock on Monday afternoon from the Howard J. Snowdon funeral home, 1810 Sanderson avenue. Interment will be In the West Pittston cemetery.
