- On May 3, our Mom, Dorothy Henrietta Davies, with loved ones at her side, peacefully slipped away. She joins her parents Thomas and Inga Brydon, sisters Shirley and Betty and brother Bob. She leaves behind 4 daughters, Kathy Pistell (George), Betty Byatt (Steve), Susan Goodkey (Bev), and Sherry Sudds (Mike, deceased) and their families including 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and generations of nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Saskatoon, Mom moved to BC to enter nurses training at the Royal Columbian Hospital. After moving to Victoria in 1960, Mom continued her nursing career at Royal Oak Nursing Home and Gorge Road Hospital. Long after retiring in 1987, Mom continued her special TLC to family and friends.
Mom enjoyed her last years in her new home at the Cridge Senior's Residence, making new friends with all. We thank everyone there for making our Mom so welcome and loved.
Mom was our constant. She led by example. We saw her empathy and we drew that into our hearts. We saw her strength in hard times and learned to cope. She was, and will always be, the strongest link that keeps us bound to each other.
Dear, loving Mom. You are our sunshine, always and forever.
Mom didn't want a service. We celebrate her everyday.
